We’re almost to the end of 2021. Here’s a cheers to great things ahead!
Vinnie’s, along with Navy Strength, is participating in the nationwide pop-up Sippin’ Santa! This means Vinnie’s won’t be operating as usual, but hosting a tropical themed cocktail extravaganza. Here’s some more info on the pop-up itself: https://www.sippinsantapopup.com/about
Don’t panic; you’ll still be able to get wine. We’ll be doing retail via online order through our website, and of course you’ll still be getting your wine boxes. Also, you get an extra special perk: You’ll get 10% off your first round when you come in for Sippin’! The event will be in full swing seven days a week from 4pm to 11pm, from now until Christmas.
December 2021 Wine Box
This month’s theme: Cozy. Pretty self-explanatory, but these are comforting wines I want to drink while keeping warm, relaxed, and a little self-indulgent.
Teutonic Muscat 2020 Willamette Valley, OR All the fruits and all the flowers. Highly perfumed with lilies, citrus fruits, stone fruits, melon fruits - all the fruits - and spicy green peppercorn. Christmas candy except not sweet.
Valle del Sole Rosato 2019 Marche, Italy This very dark pink rose of Montepulciano perfectly fits my definition of a winter rose. It’s complex, savory, and leafy, and you’ll taste some black fruits and some milk chocolate, even. No sugarplums, though. Have it with goose or whatever.
Aurora de Itata Cinsault 2018 Itata Valley, Chile Cherry juice, tart blackberry, baking spice, black tea, fresh earth, fennel seed, and a warm peppery quality make for a wine that proves cozy winter reds don't always have to be heavy and rich.
Ordeaux ‘South Bank’ Red Blend 2019 Columbia Gorge, OR The blend is Cab Franc, Cab Sauv, Merlot, Malbec, and Petit Verdot, so in other words, Bordeaux by way of Oregon. It’s deep, dark, and dense, with blackberry, currant, and bramble. You can catch the earth and tobacco notes, or you can just relax and settle your brain for a long winters’ nap.
